Strange -- But Is It True?

The New York Post is reporting today that president Obama has made clear to Massachusetts senator Elizabeth Warren that he will fully support her if she chooses to run for president.  That Obama would support the far left Warren is not surprising if her political philosophy were all that mattered, but there is just too much else that makes me wonder if this is true.  First, of course, there's Hillary Clinton.  Would Obama really line up against Hillary in 2016?  If so, it would likely lead to a battle that could guarantee defeat for the Democrats that year.  And what about Joe Biden?  Would Obama really support someone other than his trusty sidekick?  Most important, there is the reporter on the story, Ed Klein who has been reporting on the so called "blood feud" between the Clintons and Obama for some time now.  Maybe Klein is correct, but there is no reason to think so.

The truth is that I would like to see Warren as the Democrat candidate in 2016.  We already saw her as a senatorial candidate when she ran successfully against Scott Brown in Massachusetts.  She was a terrible candidate who got caught up in an endless scandal about her claim to being part Cherokee.  That apparently false claim was arguably used by Warren to advance her career through affirmative action.  There is no definitive proof that Warren did this, but she fought every effort to uncover her past employment records, so one can only assume the worst is in there.  So, let's see, a bad candidate with a scandal just waiting to come out.  That sure sounds like a person that Obama would choose as his preferred successor.  The man has made so many poor choices, there is no reason to believe he would stop now.
