Did you see president Obama's statements this morning to the media about Ukraine and Gaza? Here's what he had to say in a nutshell: 1) regarding Ukraine/Russia/Malaysian airliner -- those separatists better stop impeding the investigation. In addition, Obama is really focused on this mess and Russia may pay a price if.........(this last part is far from clear.) 2) As far as Gaza is concerned, the USA strongly supports Israel's right to defend itself from the missile attacks that are being launched from civilian neighborhoods in Gaza, but there cannot be any further civilian casualties. (You figure that one out; no sane person could.)
I wonder why Obama even bothers making these statements. They clarify nothing. They resolve nothing. They really serve no purpose other than letting Obama appear interested in what is happening. It must really suck to have to interrupt his afternoon nap to do this stuff.
