Today in the Middle East

It is worth reviewing the last day to get a clearer picture of just where things stand now in the Middle East.

First of all, there was a major massacre involving the death of over 270 people.  Although the media is busy covering Gaza, this massacre took place in Iraq where ISIS overran a town in the north of the country and then proceeded to execute most of those who were there.  ISIS held a public beheading of those who opposed it, and then these crazies put the severed heads on display in the local square.  There has been essentially no coverage of this outrage.  There also have been no marches against ISIS or statements of condemnation from the UN or any of the countries that are so "concerned" about Gaza.

Second, there was a cease fire in Gaza for 12 hours.  Israel agreed to an extension of the cease fire, but Hamas resumed firing missiles as soon as the 12 hours ended.  Hamas does not care about the suffering in Gaza; it only wants more civilian casualties to make Israel look bad.

Third, Secretary of State Kerry is still busy pushing for a peace agreement.  Since Hamas has continued to say that it will not agree to any plan that does not reward it, Kerry is now pushing for some benefit for Hamas in the final deal.  The man is a total moron.

President Obama has been paying close attention to his golf game.  I doubt he could find the Middle East on a map.
