This morning's news is that Vladimir Putin has joined the call for granting full access to "experts" at the site of the wreckage of the Malaysian Airlines plane that was shot down by Russian separatists in Ukraine. If anyone was still doubting that the entire issue of access for experts was a phony one, Putin has just proved it. The only actual questions remaining with regard to the downing of the plane are whether or not Russian troops were at the controls of the missiles when they were fired and whether or not Moscow had authorized the use of anti-aircraft missiles to bring down planes over Ukraine. Of course, these are not questions that a site investigation could possible answer. Indeed, all the site investigation could do would be to confirm that the plane was shot down by a missile. BUT WE ALREADY KNOW THAT!!!
Will there be any sort of consequences for this heinous act? It sure looks like the answer is NO. Consequences or the lack of consequences needs to be the focus of the world. Let's drop this nonsense of the investigation now.
