Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the Socialist of the moment. She won a primary in the Bronx and was proclaimed the new face of the Democrat party. Then she went on multiple TV shows and appeared to be a moron who knew next to nothing about economics, government or many other subjects. She did claim to be part of the "working class" but now I've discovered that this too is a lie.
Ocasio-Cortez grew up in the affluent suburb of Yorktown Heights, north of New York City. To put in context what that town is like, the median family income there is $137,580 per year. In other words, it is an upscale town or at least upper middle class. Ocasio-Cortez's father was an architect, an upscale white collar job.
I don't care whether or not Ocasio-Cortez has a working class background or not. It doesn't change her views or her talents. I just find it offensive that she feels compelled to lie about her background so as to prove her Socialist bona fides.
