There's a poll in Montana's senate race today that shows the GOP challenger leading incumbent Democrat senator Tester by 2%. That's hardly an insurmountable lead, but it makes clear that the seat is fully in play. It puts Montana, Missouri, Minnesota, Indiana, Wisconsin, North Dakota, Florida and New Jersey as states currently represented by Democrats in the senate where the polls show either a GOP lead or a very close race. After nearly a year of hearing about the "blue wave", we are looking at the possibility of a pick up by the Republicans of eight seats in the senate. It could all go the other way, but things keep looking better for the GOP (at least in the senate.)
