Yesterday's big media story (other than the canonization of John McCain) was the mass shooting in Jacksonville at a gaming tourney. The shooter, a guy named David Katz, turned out to be using hand guns that were legally obtained after a background check. That didn't stop the media and Democrats like my state's goofy senator Chris Murphy from claiming that inaction by Congress led to the shooting. Apparently, it doesn't matter that none of the gun proposals (aside from the unconstitutional confiscation of all weapons) would have made any difference in stopping this attack. It's still the fault of the GOP controlled Congress for the Dems and the media.
Now, however, there's additional news which will likely end coverage of the story more quickly than the time between Chuck Schumer seeing a TV camera crew and his running over to give an interview. It turns out that David Katz is a member of the anti-Trump #Resistance movement. There's no way the media will talk about someone on their side who shot up a place with a legal handgun. It just ruins the narrative. Hey, Katz isn't even an illegal alien, so they can't tell us all that he matters more than the victims (like they did with the poor woman who was murdered in Iowa.)
