Yesterday, CNN asked the judge in the Manafort case for the names and home addresses of the jurors who had been serving with their identities shielded until then. The judge said that because of threats including those which he (the judge) had himself received, he would not release the names. This morning, CNN went to a different court seeking an order that the names and addresses of the jurors be disclosed. This is truly outrageous.
There is no reason why CNN needs the names of the jurors. There is really no reason why it needs their addresses. There is only one thing: CNN can threaten to disclose those identities so that the jurors will fear retribution from their neighbors (or thugs like antifa) if they rule "the wrong way".
CNN is a big purveyor of anti-Trump fake news. Okay, that's their right. There is no right, however, for CNN to threaten jurors (directly or indirectly). This is truly outrageous.
