May Is Lucky

British PM May is lucky.  Her Tory party is split over Brexit.  She runs the risk of being ousted as PM in a back-bench coup.  But she always has her ace in the hole:  Labour's leader Jeremy Corbyn.  The latest from Corbyn has been his mishandling of the flap about Corbyn's attending a memorial for the Black September terrorists who murdered the Israeli Olyimpic team in Munich in 1972.  At first, Corbyn denied attending the event.  He castigated those who said he was there.  Then the Daily Mail found pictures of Corbyn at the event and posted them on line.  Corbyn stayed with his denials.  Today, that changed.  Now Corbyn says that he was there but did not participate in actually placing the wreath on the graves of the Black September terrorists.  He also called them men who may have been involved with the Munich massacre of the Israeli Olympic team.

As I said, PM May is lucky to have such an opponent.  First, his actions confirm the anti-Semitism of Labour.  That may cost the votes of some for Labour.  More important, however, Corbyn is shown to be completely dishonest.  It took pictures of him there for Corbyn to come close to admitting the truth.  Then, he tried to create doubt about just who was buried in the grave in question.  This is the grave in which the bodies of the Munich terrorists were place.  These terrorists were killed in a shoot out with German police at the airport in Munich.  There is no doubt that they were involved.

The truth is that if Brexit gets completed, the next British election may work to wipe Labour out.
