The mainstream media is still in all out assault mode on the President. Much of it comes from the words of Michael Cohen's lawyer Lanny Davis. Davis, of course, is a long time Clinton crony who is reveling in the attention. He claims, without offering any proof, that Cohen knows something about collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. That claim comes despite Cohen testifying under oath that he had seen nothing that would lead anyone to believe that there was any such collusion. Davis says that the senators who were questioning Cohen "didn't ask the right questions".
Let's back up for a moment. If Cohen said that there was nothing there, and he said it under oath, then the question generally doesn't matter. Cohen perjured himself, or he would be lying now if he said something different. The only way around this would be if the question limited the time or the scope of the question. But, of course, it didn't.
I understand that the Democrats are trying to do everything possible to bring down the President. I just think that it's disgusting that a lawyer like Davis feels it's acceptable for him to lie on umpteen TV shows as part of that effort.
