The primary results in Florida came in about 15 hours ago. The mainstream media got to work immediately trying to support Democrat Gillum in his bid for the governorship. I've previously written about this. Now, the Hill has started trying to call Republican DeSantis a racist. DeSantis said that Gillum was embracing a socialist agenda for Florida. That's accurate. Gillum wants medicare for all, abolishing ICE, and a guaranteed income for everyone. That's a pretty good summary of the current socialist program. While being interviewed on a TV show, DeSantis said this,
“Let’s build off the success we’ve had on Gov. Scott. The last thing we need to do is to monkey this up by trying to embrace a socialist agenda with huge tax increases bankrupting the state. That is not going to work."
So how did the Hill describe this? They said that DeSantis said that the last thing Florida needs is "to monkey this up by" voting for Gillum. Gillum is, of course, a black man, so the Hill wants to portray DeSantis as equating a black man and a monkey. The problem, of course, is that this is a total lie. It's just another of those left wing media lies that will then get spread all over the internet. Another Republican Racist!!!!! As of now, even Drudge picked up this story. It's a lie.
